Andrew Hohns, PhD
Dr. Andrew Hohns was appointed by Congress in 2016 to the United States Semiquincentennial Commission. He is Managing Director at Mariner Investment Group and serves as Lead Portfolio Manager for two fund strategies related to infrastructure investment. He joined Mariner in 2012 to launch the Mariner Infrastructure Investment Management platform, and has overseen the development of the firm’s bank regulatory capital investment strategy. Prior to joining Mariner, Hohns was a Managing Director at Institutional Financial Markets, Inc., which he joined at its inception in 2001. At IFMI, In 2008, Institutional Investor named him a member of its “20 Rising Stars of Fixed Income.” He holds a BS in Economics from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, a Masters in Liberal Arts from the School of Arts and Sciences at the University of Pennsylvania, and a PhD in Applied Economics and Managerial Sciences from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. He also serves as a board member of the United States Fund for UNICEF and as an Adjunct Assistant Professor at New York University’s Stern School of Business.
